"My name is Abeer Smadi. I’ve worked for 8 years in the United Nations supporting displaced communities to thrive again in unknown and often unstable contexts in the Middle East and North Africa. Being in Canada gave me the chance to witness the other part of their journey in the settlement country. I am currently the Social and Community Services Worker at VICCIR where I support refugees and newcomers to better integrate within the community."
